Gramm’s Gone

AP via MSNBC:

Phil Gramm, a top adviser to presidential candidate John McCain, said Friday he is resigning from the role as campaign co-chairman after his comments that the United States had become a “nation of whiners” who constantly complain about the state of the economy.

If Mr. Gramm doesn't whine about the reason for his departure I promise not to as well.
  • kritt11
As frustration with the nation's energy policy grew, and gas prices more than doubled there was little that the ordinary American could do but whine. Come November, there will be another form of expression for dissatisfied voters.

Bad PR move by Gramm and "GOP is out of touch with the concerns of everyone other than their wealthy donors" combined to force Gramm out. He had to leave.

No, Kritt, it was not whining. It's mainly grumbling punctuated by an occasional shout from those with less strength. Gramm was right about whiners -- we have had an entitlement mentality in this country for ages -- and the media are complicit in making things seem worse than they really are (they want a Dem to be elected).
  • DLS
Rico -- shouldn't you be offering not to gloat or laugh in exchange, instead? (Same with you, K.)

Have fun this November and of course, next January.
