Candidate Issues Information Pages

The Bob Barr campaign has finally put up an issues page where you can read policy statements from Barr across most of the issues, with links to detailed explanations for each. Lots of things for Libertarians to love, no doubt, and not very far off from Ron Paul’s positions.

For John McCain, just go to the Senator’s home page and scroll over the “Issues” button. You’ll get a java driven drop-down menu for each issue and can click striaght through from there. (By the way, just from a techno-geek point of view, the McCain page is very well designed, slick, and easy to navigate.)

For Barack Obama, also start with his home page. Scroll over the “Issues” button in the top navigation bar for a similar offering. (NOTE: as was pointed out in the comments section of my previous column, it seems that Senator Obama’s team recently not only “scrubbed” the war page to remove references to the surge, but he also removed a previous education statement saying he wanted everyone to do 100 hours of community service in order to get the $4,000 college tax credit. Now it simply says everyone can get it. You may want to capture screen shots of the issues pages, as they seem to change a bit.)

    Jazz,

That's actually javascript, not to be confused with java :)

On an unrelated note, an interesting observation would be the large high-contrast fonts on McCain's site, as opposed to Obama's site.

I also think the “Select your JohnMcCain.com edition” is pretty clever.

Large, high contrast fonts? Well, when you get to a certain age, you like to have..

    … oh wait. Nevermind.

Obama-bashing may not be a good thing for McCain to do:
