At least 32 members University of Missouri football team are boycotting team activities until the president Tim Wolfe resigns “due to his negligence towards marginalized students.”
The move comes as campus groups have been protesting the way Wolfe has dealt with issues of racial harassment during the school year, which include swastikas drawn inside dormitories and one reportedly smeared with human feces.
Black graduate student Jonathan Butler is in the sixth day of a hunger strike calling for attention to the racial harassment issues.

Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon issued a statement on Sunday calling on the university to address the concerns over “racism and intolerance.” He added that the school should be “a place where all students can pursue their dreams in an environment of respect, tolerance and inclusion.”
