McCain's balancing the budget pitch is so ridiculous, that the media's failure to use their calculators when mentioning it is the latest sign of just how vacuours our 'expert' commentators are.

The truth is, with two wars going on, no one can balance the budget. now, and neither can Obama.
We need some sweeping policy changes and reforms in place before we can even begin talking about it seriously. And I don't think paying with a credit card, like we do with our wars, is a justifiable way to assess economic health.

What we should really be asessing is which candicate has the best plan to bring the country to a point where balancing the budget is possible, again.
That means job creation, with the green indusry playing a significant role) and health care reform, so that we have a healthy populace to help the economy grow, instead of having an underclass draining resources for their medical needs.

Fiorina made a similar statement when Andrea Mitchell pushed her on a statement about taxes that was deceptive. Fiorina said voters did not care about the details. The details would have shown her deceptions (lies).

Fiorina is an elitist looking down her nose at the dumb voters that could not understand the details.

Carly Fiorina continued with the pandering about a gas tax holiday, which McCain knows Congress will not pass because it is a bad idea.

Why hasn't anyone ever asked McCain when he is going to propose the bill. Summer is half over.

She continued the bull about McCain balancing the budget without any facts, except using the money saved from stopping the wars without any plan for when the wars stop.

When it comes to Carly Fiorina I doubt that hardly anyone outside the tech field, and only those in it who pay some attention to the business end of it for whatever reason is aware of the soap opera that took place during her tenure or have a clue who she is. Personal conflicts, plain old BS and yes, some questionable business decisions are why she's no longer head of HP. While she did some good things while there it's hardly enough to make her some kind of expert on the effect on the country of McCain's economic policies.

Yep, sweetie is a new Bernie Mac solecism, since it was used by the Obamanble Showman to a TV reporter a while back—but Phil Gramm should be kept in some sort of kennel for political pit bulls. Carly danced away from the question.

BTW, Chris Dodd isn't on vacation, as the “dog days” suit his TV persona just fine.

Mr. Brokaw's rich response was to comment that since his and the other shows continue to invite campaign surrogates on their programs, he hopes that someone is paying attention to them.
