The one thing that is sure to fire up the Republican base and get them energized to go vote in serious numbers, frankly, is Hillary on the ticket — because she will bring Bill with her by default. It's a spouse thing, ya know?

If he picks her, it may very well be true that some folks will vote for Obama who might not have otherwise, but polls indicate (however unreliable they are) that the vast majority of those not-quite 18 million Hillary people have gotten behind the soon-to-be Dem nominee. The numbers that might be brought in w/ Hillary on the ticket would be swamped by the newly energized response from the currently somnolent Republicans.

I prefer the unknown and waffling Obama. Of course the GOP hates Hillary. She represents real change, whereas they know Obama doesn't…

I guess an Obama/Hillary ticket (or even an Obama/Bill C ticket) would be (for Republicans anyway) the same as the Bush/Cheney presidency/vice presidency is for Dems and most republicans right now….. Can't get rid of the president because look at who his replacement would be! ROFL….

In fact, Obama is in quite a conundrum with the VP thing. As insipid as his qualifications are for the Oval Office, he is faced with finding someone who is at once even more insipid than he is, but somehow still qualified enough to gain voter confidence as a co-runner and potential replacement for Obama, God forbid, should he not live out his term.

I don't envy Obama right now. I don't think that person even exists, much less in numbers to compile a list to whittle down from.

President Bush (current) hasn't let his father (a closer relation than the Clintons have with Obama) interfere or intrude, and the public hasn't worried about such an intrusion. (These days, I suspect many Americans would welcome such a thing.)

Then he stands up there, flip flops and once again tells us that Hillary is smart and she understands and I was only kidding when I said that about the war. OH yeah and Bill Clinton is not a racist. I was only kidding. And Oh yeah, Hillary is……..

Secondly two others I have seen touted as VP candidates voted FOR the WAR too. Biden and Dodd. Hows he going to square that with his message that is firmly tucked away in data banks all over the world where he said that I question the judgement of anyone who voted for the war.

In essence he hand tieing himself and even more so with Hillary then with any other group. Not only does 1/2 of the Democratic party hate Hillary but nearly all the GOP does. His presidency would be about Hillary and not Barak Obama.

This talk is nothing more then talk unless his judgment proves once again to be sorely lacking.
