I just hope the Democrats don't get conceited as well as arrogant again, the way the Clintons were after their inauguration, and lurch leftward.

What reasonable people want is *** NOT *** a regressive return to the political economy of aging, failed older Blue Nation, with its failures that were evident by the 1970s (and responsible for its rejection in the 1980 elections and afterward).

Here in Michigan, Blue Nation politics and policy have ruined the state's economy (it's as if Michigan, the city of Detroit, and the Big Three all have failed truly to recognize that their old models are obsolete as well as long invalid), and in another place subject to Blue Nation politics and policies that I have lived before, the same result is here — and what it means Democrats may have yet to learn. (They certainly haven't in New York, where arrogant dysfunctional bureaucrats respond to anything by raising taxes and believe they'll always get more revenue by increasing taxes, which is idiotic as well as conceited.)

So many people I've met in Michigan are shocked that I came here for a high-paying job; this state is hemmorhaging people as well as jobs. The same is true for New York. We who know better don't want the Democrats to do that to the entire nation. (Or is this their way of responding to people's voting with their feet?)
