They were already among the Clintons&#039; in-crowd so they had reason to believe that their voices would be heard (and may already be &quot;owed&quot; consideration for prior support) rather than their checks merely cashed. Whether Obama can convince them to pony up will depend on his ability to convince them it&#039;s in their interest, if that&#039;s something he wants to expend energy and political capital on.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Would they go to McCain? Yes, but ONLY if they thought he could win (and that it might be in their interest), and that jury is still out.</description>
