I doubt he was trying to be "presidential" 21 years ago, having just been elected to the Senate. It does, however, demonstrate that even then he knew that caving in to the adversaries of this country was not a recipe for supporting our nation's security. Perhaps his "community organizer" opponent could learn a thing or two if he could read more of Admiral McCain's escapades.
