Lynx:

Thanks for the heads-up. I had noticed the pro-McCain "bias."

In future posts I'll be on the look-out for such editorial tilt and the "prism of [the] rather anti-American media" if and when I come across either--although, part of translating such articles and reporting or commenting on them, includes commenting on both the "unfiltered" and the "filtered" information. In the end, isn't it one or the other that regular people end up believing...or not believing?

Dorian, speaking as a Spanish American (who never really considered herself Hispanic, as such, just half Spanish half American) I think I should warn you about the ABC.

The ABC is one of the most conservative newspapers in Spain. If any newspaper would favor McCain, this would be it. It's not a rag mind you, but it DOES have a serious editorial tilt to it that you should be aware of.

Living in Madrid most regular educated people (when you cut out the "subnormales" in the population who think that Obama is a Muslim that works for the Jews) favor Obama but have their doubts as to whether the US will actually elect him, as the view about race relations in the US that we get in Spain is filtered through the prism of our rather anti-American media.
