Election 2008

Now that we are heading into the general election campaign I thought it would be useful to provide our readers with a rundown of the various races this November. Over the coming weeks I will post on each of the state and the prospects for November as well as providing a general summary of the projected outcomes.

I will do my best to be as non partisan as possible but I am sure those on the left and right will find some things to like and some things to dislike in my review.

Yawn. Is there anything less important that a state by state run down. Since Senator Obama is a 100-1 shoe-in to be the next president, the only real question in 2008 is whether the Democrats get 60 seats in the Senate in 2009 or will they have to wait to 2011.

Better questions will be which state will be the first state where the Republican Party folds, how soon will it be before the Democrats get more than 200 Congressmen running for relection unopposed, and will it be 2012 or 2016 that will be last election cycle when the Republican candidate for office is taken seriously as a candidate?
  • Wow, I am not sure how to respond to that.

I mean I guess you don't plan on any future elections.

I've liked your summaries so far, Patrick. Thanks for taking the time.
