Mapping the Political ‘Sphere

My apologies to those of you who have already discovered this analysis, but for those (like me) who missed it, check it out: a map of the political blogosphere, courtesy of Presidential Watch ‘08.

TMV ranks right up there with the others. And while this analysis shades us as “liberal,” we’re situated almost smack dab in the center of the cloud, just to the left (barely) of a self-avowed conservative, Andrew Sullivan.

When you click over, you can search for TMV, but a word of advice: Don’t search by URL; just type in the word “moderate” and we should show up in the results. You can also take time, obviously, to see where some of your other favorite blogs reside. (Note: This map plots 533 political sites, ranking them based on the frequency of incoming links rather than traffic, although the two obviously, often go hand-in-hand.)

Hey, that's a neat site Pete! Thanks for sharing it with those of us who weren't aware of it. Looking it over, I see a couple representatives smack in the middle of what I've always considered to be objective and non-idealogical reporting, namely the Christian Science Monitor and NPR. TMV looks pretty darn close to the center too.
