It is difficult to write and post lengthy stories while traveling abroad.
However, after reading Ron Beasley’s touching tribute to his “military Dad” who served in World War II, both in Europe and in the Pacific, and who passed away 12 years ago, I would be very remiss not to honor all our military Dads — those who have gone before us and those who are still with us, many still serving.
Fortunately three of the military Services have published some great photographs doing the honors:
The U.S. Army
The U.S. Marines
I have not yet seen a similar official tribute by the U.S. Air Force.
However, I know a young woman who is very proud of her Air Force father and has been remembering him on Face Book today.
Heather Hull’s (now Heather Bangs) father was Master Sergeant Robert Reese Hull, a Vietnam War veteran and a Thunderbird Crew Chief at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., from 1968 until 1971. Sergeant Hull passed away in 2012.
I believe he nobly represents all Air Force Dads we honor today.
