The idea of an Arab peace keeping force appeals to me, at face value.
That Hamas can't control evryhting that happens in their territory has always been a sticking point.

I don't know how that would work out in practice. It would demand great discipline on the part of these troops without letting sympathies intervene.
Would Israel trust them?

I'm glad to see, however, that both parties are, again, trying. If success is not assured by trying, it's impossible if not trying.

BTW, I can't help sticking out my tongue at Pres. Bush. Are these negotiations, too, an example of appeasement?
