When anyone says “What is wrong with it” I ask “what is right with it.” Love is not just about two people who want to live together. It is not just about the love they have for each other but the good of others too. The message sent is that everyone should do as they wish and not as they ought to do. Living with a woman if you are a woman and a man if you are a man in a sexual union is wrong on many levels, but I say it is much too easy! It is a coward's way out, although sadly homosexuals may not be able to do otherwise. Next on the agenda: legalized polygamy and man/boy love. Gays are being used. If you think dealing with the gay in your family was hard wait and see what the next generation will have to deal with!

Here, here, Patrick! The stereotype that same-sex couples cannot be faithful or last is, indeed, rediculous. Any statistics on the subject are inherently flawed, because outside of a few years in Massachusettes, there is no legal way to track how long same-sex couples last.

TossFloss — I'm curious as to the subject of your “spoiled child” comment above.
Are you speaking of the loving gay couples who just want equal rights, or chest-pounding bible-thumping people who have nothing better to do than deny others their rights? If you're talking about the latter, I would agree. As for “who cares?”, er…the two aforementioned groups, obviously.

Same Sex-Marriage is like a plague..(it needs to be stopped), the reason is this..If we accept Same Sex Marriage, in one state, then other homosexual people will want thier rights in that area as well. This is an abomination against God.

God is creator of this world, and he is against same-sex marriage, he is against it so much that he says it is an "abomination" to him!!

Our forefathers fought for this country to be founded in the "bible", and we (as people) are trying to shred any moral issue that the bible stands for.

People first voted against prayer in schools, and in government places, the constitution was based on biblical morals, and yet people have tried to fight it ever step of the way. You say.."Well what about the rights of the homosexuals", well what about the rights of the Christians, we have rights too. This is a Christian nation, and if the people do not like "Christianity" and that this is country was based on Christianity, than they need to leave the Country!!
God has only ordained Marriage for Man and Woman (ONLY) that is why he made Adam and Eve, not ADAM AND STEVE!!

God is creator of heaven and earth!! he should be the only one to decide our needs, not other people....If we do not follow God's law, then God will and can destroy this country, like Sodom and Gamorah and many other places that allowed sin to openly ramage in the streets.

Stop the sin, search the word of God, and make this place a place that's pleasing to God, and make this country the country our forefathers fourght for a Christian Nation, not an Abomination!!

To marry or not to marry is not the question. Who cares? Why must it be the most important thing on the American agenda? It is like Nero fiddling while Rome burns.
Most people really don't care. Now put on your clothes, get married and live useful lifes. Stop acting like the spoiled child in the family and demanding every ones attention all the time.
