runasim- I could not agree more. The media has been very critical in covering the Clintons and I would like to see more mention of their contributions as talented public servants and less about their gaffes. All in all, the Clinton presidency was one of peace, prosperity and competence, despite Monicagate. Both Bill and Hillary have contributed a lot to America—especially when we view the detrimental effect that 8 years of a Republican administration has had on our country and our morale.

Judging by some of the most militant pro-Hillary forces on the internet – including especially Taylor Marsh – it's obvious that you are in a small minority. It will take time for many people to come to terms with the nominee. That's expected. But if you really are a Democrat, give up all the BS about McCain romping all over Obama. None of the polling suggests it. The party is more energized than ever. And with Hillary Clinton's wonderful speech today, the party is well on its way toward unity.

If by 'being all over' you mean to continue fully concentrating on the negaives, without so much as a hat tip to the postives, that implies a continuation of person destruction instead of deliberation about ideas.

That's not a future that I greet happily.
From our military wars, we have learned the importance of winning hearts and minds.
Killing binLaden will not kill terrorism. The proper war to fight is the war of ideas, not people.

The speech was masterly, one of the best ever.

I hope that now, finally, some of the themes of TMV posts can begin to balance the what's--wrong-wih-the-Clintons themes with a few what's-right-with-the Clintons ones.
I hope people will begin to realize that no one is perfect, and when you destroy a person in his/her entirety, you destroy the good someone has to offer along with the bad that should rightfully be rejected.

The primaries have been good for Hillary in that she has become comfortable enough with the microphones to shed her wooden, brittle voiced style of hhe past with self confident rhetoric working the crowd and leading the crowd. It's an amazing transformation from which all women , and all men, should learn lessons.

With Sen. Clinton's conceding, victory for the Democratic Party in November is a pipedream. “Unity” to win the election is a hopeless cause. Obama did not get the nomination fair and square. De facto Obama supporter House Speaker Nancy Pelosi rigged the nomination for Obama.

Sen. Clinton was the only winning choice; she was the best qualified and the strongest candidate to defeat John McCain and win the general election in a landslide victory hands down. A crushing defeat awaits a corrupt Democratic Party in November.
