While the voices of the people are  multitidinous, in blogs, they are a jumble, of conflicting voices,  with no discernible distinction between the wild-eyed and the trustworthy, news and  fanciful opinions,.  &lt;br&gt;Then, too, they depend on the  old media for source material.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;McClellan&#039;s indictment of the press was only skin deep.  What is emerging is that not only govrnmental pressure played a role (that  should have been expected), but  that it was a collusion between the government and the corporate owners of the media that helped stifle appropriate questions.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;It is quite true that he people don&#039;t often wear their thinking caps.  It should be the role of the media to help put those caps back on, but it didn&#039;t, and it isn&#039;t.</description>
