They follow it up with chemo and radiation therapy and hope for the best. Unfortunately, this type of cancer spreads early and quickly into other parts of the brain, and that spread is usually not visible on the patient's MRI. Still, the surgery and aftercare may buy him a year or two as opposed to several months. <br><br>May I add my best wishes for his recovery. Even his opponents concede that he is an important player in the Senate-- integral to getting key legislation passed---which is why so many Republicans (even the President!) have partnered with him on their bills.
