Tim Russert On Political Impact Of McClellan Anti-Bush Memoir

Tim Russert, appearing on the Today Show, notes that former White House press secretary Scott McClellan’s book could have considerable impact on the Bush administration’s reputation AND on Campaign 2008. Watch it in full. Russert hits the nail on the head.

Russert’s report makes it clear why the White House and its supporters are in full discredit mode right now to try squelch the allegations in the book (which polls show many Americans already believe and have believed for some time about an administration that will be mentioned in the same “credibility gap” sentences as the Johnson and Nixon administrations by future historians and political scientists).
