Hello readers.
We have moved back to the Disqus commenting system after not using it for 4 years. Back when we first used Disqus, it wasn’t nearly as robust and was going through growing pains. Disqus is now much improved and is used on many major media outlet sites as well. Disqus has threaded comments, social media sharing, editing of your comments, as well as voting.
We’ve done this due to the large amounts of comment spam we were receiving as well as to improve TMV’s social media presence. What does this mean?
As of right now, your TMV login will not allow you to comment. You must register for a Disqus login (which some of you already have from our earlier use). You can register from our articles when you first try to comment. It is fairly straightforward. Disqus also allows you to log in with an existing Facebook, Twitter, or Google+ account.
To all our writers, your TMV login will work for posting articles but not comments. You will need to create a Disqus account as well. For everyone, once you are logged into Disqus, you don’t have to do it again. All previous TMV comments have been moved to Disqus also (no empty posts when there were comments).
We understand this is a change and inconvenience but it’s very necessary to the continued operation of TMV. All the best to you!
I’m not complex. Don’t have time for all that. And all that complex stuff bad for the stomach. Just color me simple and plain with a twist.
