Whether it's Hillary, Bill or anyone else, there is a media (and blog) narrative that feeds on itself and grows to a point where it acquires a parallel reality of its own.

In the beginning, it was a war between mainstream media,(who were caught up in admiration for Hillary's talents), and many blogs (who threw hissy fits at the mere mention of the Clinton name).

Now, the media and the antagoistic blogs seem to have joined hands in a united Clinton loathing campaign. That's the 'they' Bill is referring to, I would guess, and I think he is not without cause.

Have the Clinton's said some reprehensible things? Oh, yes. Sometimes it
has seemed Hillary is secretly working for McCan's campaign.

On the other, hand, do the Clintonsa have any reason to believe they would be treated fairly if they played nice? I don't see any evidence of that.

It's much easier for Obama to appear more noble. That's the role he chose, and that's the role largely upheld in the media and Obama-esque blogs.

Let any Clinton open his mouth, though, and it seems people don't even hear what was said. The just read from their prpared scripts of outrage. Anyone on the receiving end of this would quite antuarally become a little paranoid themselves and start thinking about 'them' .

Many of the same people who laid the groundwork for this being an ugly fight are now SHOCKED that it is.

So, now it's a oog fight, but I don't see any cute puppies I'd care to adopt.

I think I would humbly submit that Bill has been living in a “fun house” since Lewinsky, and probably earlier than that even. I see this as pure desperation by people who know its over. Hillary as the victim? You gotta be kidding me. I think Joe has provided several links to throw that claim in the washer. Just go away, HRC!!

Then we hear from another peanut gallary former President Carter. GEE! and what did he do for this country?

Since the media played the “race and gender” card to the hilt.

I keep asking myself, that if we Hillary was a black female running against Obama, would this be happening? Doubt it, the media wouldnt touch that with a 10 foot pole. But she isn't a black female, she is who she is, and once again it shows just how hard it is for any female to compete and have the respect .
Our country hasn't moved forward at all, it's a mess.
Obama just isn't ready and if if the people of the USA would just look with better eyes, and stop playing into the smoke and mirror game they would see that she does make more sense then Obama. He has been giving great lip service to everyone, and the media caters to him. How sad.
Should Obama become the President and doesn't fulfill all these promises he states he is going to do, then what, we will have more sniffles accross the USA and wanting him OUT, but will have to wait another 4 yrs like we had to with the Bush adminstration. I don't believe the USA could with stand this.

If Hillary isn't on the ballot I will not vote for Obama, I will not vote for McCain either, I will cast it to the wind if I have to, but I will not give it to them.

I support Hillary Clinton .. hang in there girl.

HUH?? Bill are you totally ignorant of how the MSM works – especially since you signed the telecom bill that let them coalesce into larger, more corporate entities?

For several months I have just been countering comments about the Clintons with “A lot of us were NOT happy with Bill and his stupid squandering of the position he was elected to. We would be very happy not to have him any where near the WH”

From blowing health care reform because of the control attitude, to losing the power of the bully pulpit due to his philandering, I can't think of what they accomplished without thinking of what they undermined (Glass – Steagle) and what they had to abandon due to the constant barage of negative attacks- which caused Bill to follow in Gary Hart's failed footsteps.

What kills me is that they kept talking about her being 'vetted' and that Barack would end up being trashed as soon as the GOP got ahold of him. That nothing new could be dug up on Hill. Well she managed to generate new ammo. And as many of us anticipated, the old stuff has just been brought out to be recycled ad nauseum.. It's like what we found out with the swiftboaters; you can refute, disprove, and defend til you are blue- the people who want to believe the lies will not be persuaded.

Hillary has not been treated any worse than she has treated others – over the years.

As far as her being treated disrespectfully- perhaps some, but I think all the candidates are treated disrespectfully at times. I think Obama is showing a great deal of respect for her by sticking up for her and her right to remain in the race. I can't help but wonder if she would do the same for him if their roles were reversed.
