Greetings to the readers of The Moderate Voice.
I’d like to start by thanking the folks at TMV for inviting me to be a regular contributor. I’ve done a few guest posts and have enjoyed the feedback from the readers.
As a bit of introduction, I am a bankruptcy and estate planning attorney in Northern California who has been involved in politics since I was probably the only eight year old promoting Ronald Reagan for President. In terms of ideology, I consider myself to be either an Independent leaning Republican or a Republican leaning Independent.
Like most of my fellow bloggers I expect to be making some comments on the election but I also hope to bring my professional background into the mix. I am at the epicenter of the mortgage meltdown and so I am sure I will be discussing that with you. In addition I am (according to my friends) one of those people who has something to say on just about everything so I expect to chime in on a wide variety of subjects.
In terms of ideology, I consider myself to be either an Independent leaning Republican or a Republican leaning Independent.
I'll be intrigued to find out what the difference is.
Welcome to TMV!
The only thing more irrevelant than a Republican inCalifornia is a Republican in Mass. Maybe you should start out explaining how the Republicans can ever make a comeback in California withouth selling out everything that can be considered conservative.
PatrickE, welcome! I look forward to your contribution as a Republican/Independent and your thoughts on the mortgage situation (as well as everything else you have time to weigh in on).
Thanks everyone for your kind welcome.
I will indeed explain the difference between the two classifications as well as discuss both California politics and the mortgage situation.
Welcome in. As a liberal-leaning independent, or is it independent leaning liberal?, I hope you can straighten me out on occasion.
