There is a vast swath of conservatives,, however,  who believe that giving any ground at all is a betrayal of their principles,  Some would rather stale-mate Congress into oblivion than move an inch.  &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Whether or not that results in losing their seats in elections depends on their constituents.  I wonder if some would retain theri seats precisely because they have proved to be immovable.    The &#039;birds of a feather&#039; effect in communities has far-reaching political implications.</description>
