I start by recongnizing that hunting deer and hunting humans are not the same., and should not be dabated by pretending it's all a question of absolutes.

Gay marriage , also, is debated in terms of absolutes: the will of the people versus the words in the Constituion. and they mean.

When actual life experience has no part in the debate, and it all takes place in a realm of ethreal abstractins, very bad decisions are made,.

I'm much more interested in the consequences of laws than in theri absolutist roots.

Don't forget that the California Supreme Court is dominated by Republican appointees. Strict constructionist could say that the founders were for miscegenation laws and wouldn't approve of the Loving decision.

Ted Nugent, great musician- lousy pundit. Go hunt some deer and stfu Ted.

Flying around in a helicopeter and tagging humans like cattle? The man is a whackjob ( from his reality show)- a trust exercise where you pretend to do William Tell on blindfolded participants? Ted, pluck your wife's G String instead, eh.

Republicans want to keep their He-Man Woman Hater Bathroom Stall club going, that's why they're against it. Gays pay taxes too, they forget that when they take a wide stance, ( or fundraising for McCain ) on the House floor.

How many Dems are on the Gaydar I wonder...I count maybe 1 (McGreevey, and he's out -literally).

If there was a god, he would have made certain that Ted Nugent never ventured beyond the music industry. I say that as a believer in the 2nd amendment, a hunter, and a lifelong Michigan resident. Except for his music, the guy is an embarrassment and a nutjob.
