Ferrell-Fouts Award Nominee

Both parties face major challenges and have little time to alter the dynamics of the election to their advantage. Recognizing underlying problems and correcting them within a matter of a couple of months is one of the supreme challenges in politics. Whichever party does that fast and well will benefit come November.

That’s just one example. Read the entire commentary. Its title — “The GOP Must Stand for Something” — is probably deserving of its own nomination for this award.

Background: The Ferrell-Fouts Award is named after an SNL skit where Will Ferrell played former QB Dan Fouts as a sportscaster who makes painfully obvious statements about football. In this case, the award is for pundits who make painfully obvious statements about contemporary politics. All nominees will be categorized here.

    They currently are little more than Dems Lite. What else? Do they even know?

    They don't offer a positive, constructive, conservative or libertarian, genuinely attractive alternative to the Democrats.
