64 percent of democrats.

Makes you wonder about two things.

1. How many of those claiming to be Democrats to be involved in the poll are actually republicans.

2. If this poll is indeed accruate then it makes me wonder how many Republicans pretending to favor and support Obama will abandon Obama for McCain now that their mission to defeat Clinton is almost over.

Because IF Obama is leading and the Democrats favor him for their candidate why would the Democrats continue to say they want Hillary to stay in the race by a 2/3rds margin. This poll makes no sense.

I have mixed feelings about the race continuing. On the one hand I'm ready for it to be over. But on the other hand, the superdelegates will probably make the final decision so I think it's good that all the Dems have had a vote. Except FL and MI, but then again that may be resolved, too. (Personally I think the FL and MI matter is settled- both the Clinton and Obama campaign agreed to the rules.) At any rate, we have less than a month to go before the last race is over so we're almost there...

The GOP race was over a couple months ago so the Republican contests are just beauty contests at this point. The folks who do vote in the republican contests essentially are casting votes that don't count. And since the republican race is over, it gives certain idle Republicans to cause mischief with the Dem contests....

On the issue of an Obama/Hill ticket.... I can see the benefits- uniting the Democratic Party and it probably means that Hill would campaign that much harder for Obama as Prez... but on the other hand, I think Bill would meddle too much and Hill would put up roadblocks to Obama's style of a new kind of politics.

I guess it all comes down to what Obama is more comfortable with- Hillary as a VP or Hillary in a powerful position (such as Senate Majority Leader) who can thwart Obama.
