Whatever happened to the Melting Pot?

It was always a bad analogy. We're more of a tossed salad. But truly, the slicing and dicing and opining why we're voting the way we are has met its match this election. How shallow and preposterous that the punditocracy thinks every vote for Hillary is about being pro-woman or anti-black, feminists and racists. And Jewish voters are supposed to be single-issue voters basing their decisions on how staunchly each candidate pledges allegiance to Israel. Oh please.
