However, there's no reason why some of the settlement blocs in the West Bank (Judea and Samaria) close to the Green Line couldn't be retained, in exchange for some land _inside_ the Green Line to join an Arab state or territory. There's nothing sacrosanct about the Green Line. Israel is not required to retreat to it and would be endangering itself by doing so. However, there's no reason why some of the settlement blocs in the West Bank (Judea and Samaria) close to the Green Line couldn't be retained, in exchange for some land _inside_ the Green Line to join an Arab state or territory.
