It's just that they don't attack very often and so no one knows about it. Most of us have grown up in a world without bears or cougars or wolves anywhere near our homes and so predators scare the bejeezus out of us. The ocean is the one place we can't control.<br><br>All this said, Oahu, where I am, has a popular spot called Shark's Cove. Um, I haven't swum in those waters yet. My understanding is that sharks rather routinely visit waters in which people swim. It's just that they don't attack very often and so no one knows about it.
