What's really laughable (sic; despicable) is the hyperventilating over this (and associated leftist drivel) by the usual children.

McCain gets to play Nice Guy (when who knows how much he had to do with the original decision to run the ad) and Dem Lite, and it does nothing but boost Blue vote totals. What dysfunctionality. McCain really is the default-by-attrition candidate this year, more contemporary GOP than the GOP itself could hope to be.

McCain's image doesn't count for squat with the Democrats, and the public will never hear of this.

In the campaign, when McCain is getting slammed as an impotent OLD MAN, and a traitor to the United States by the Democratic 527s…and McCain complains…Obama will shrug and agree with McCain “How awful…but I can't do anything about these groups”….and Obama will laugh at McCain all the way to the White House.

Between refusing to make issues of Obama's decision making and personal choices along with the idea of taking public financing for his election, all McCain is doing it sending up the white flag. I guess McCain wants to go down in history as the only candidate in the modern era who was less interested in being president than Bob Dole was. But given his total incompetence, his inability to understand issues, and his inability to manage a staff, America will probably be lucky not to have someone who so totally unfit to be president.
