I empathize with your frustration when I compare how things are with how they could be. But freedom, democracy and pragmatism are at constant war with selfish special interests and we can't give up without sliding backwards towards fascism and mere survival of the fittest.
Occasionally a few modest reforms to level the playing field are all that are needed to keep us on the path of perfecting popular government.

I love the 'hybrid legal structure' part. I'm sure it will be complex enough to allow lots of room for bobbing and weaving.

All this campaign has produced for me so far is lots of reasons for diisappointment and depression.
