The hatred for Hillary in the early part of the campaign was shocking to me.
She couldn't utter a word or make a move without it being microscopically examined for evidence of some evil intent, which some people just knew was there and could be found if only they twisted and turned her words around enough.

I was genuinely disgusted.

But Hillary had a choce.in how to play the hand she was dealt, fairly or unfairly.
She could have taken the high road to compete with Obama in running a campaign based on principles and show up the ugliness of Roveian politics.
Instead, she chose to take the low road, amd resorted tp negativity,. the very thing she's been complaining about when it comes to Republicans. She has dirtied the entire Democratic party in the process.

Many Democrats watched the Republicans in the last several elections, and wanted to do better than them, to not be like them.
Now, if Hillary is the nominee, and even if she became president, there will be a bitter taste of disappointment in their mouths and victory wiould ring hollow.

One of the reasons Abraham Lincoln is held in high regard by history was his resistance to hatred of his adversaries. He won the hearts of so many because he convincingly appealed to their greater angels.

I like Senators Clinton and McCain for many aspects of their service and policy positions. But I prefer Sen Obama because I believe he operates on a higher and more inspiring plane of Humanity. He draws out our higher angels to work together for the common good.
