No, they're just awake and aware of what's going on, unlike the perpetually cheering crowd who go down with the ship singing 'Hail, Hail' to the iceberg.

At least “bitter” is easier for the Herd to utter over and over again than “gravitas.”

This may turn out to be an election by the bitter people.
