RNC Tweet Backfires: Once again, the Republican National Committee is trying to rewrite history. In a poorly worded tweet meant to honor the mother of the Civil Rights movement, Rosa Parks, on the anniversary of her refusal to give up her seat on a Montgomery bus to a white passenger, the RNC lauded her for “her role in ending racism.” Um, I didn’t realize racism ended.
The RNC tweeted a correction….
Previous tweet should have read "Today we remember Rosa Parks' bold stand and her role in fighting to end racism."

@danwinslow Why does the "party of Lincoln" dominate the old Confederacy and fail so consistency in the homeland of yeomanry, New England?
