		<description>I DON&#039;T GET WHY THE EDIT CUTS OFF COMMENTS MIDSTREAM.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;HERE IS WHAT I WROTE:&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;It&#039;s true that our farm subsidies do not do what they  were meant to do,   Waste and corruption just ooze from the agricultual bill.  &lt;br&gt;That it&#039;s protected and perpetuated in a bipartisan  manner makes it almost impssible to overhau;ll.  The brave politician who might try, would probably find himself on the the next plane out of Washington and heading home to stay..  &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;You&#039;d think the fiscal conservatives&#039;  would  understand,  but they&#039;re totally uninterested.  So much more politically beneficial to cut programs for schools, the poor and anyone without political clout.  &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;It&#039;s dismaying and depressing.</description>
