Obviously if McCain and Hillary had something to gain from the release of this information they would have released these records as quickly as they could get them out there.

Hillary was forced to release her First Lady papers and we all finally got to see that contrary to her claims of jetting around the world and gaining vast presidential experience, all she did as First Lady was... being a First Lady.

I'm more interested in McCain's medical records than Hillary's tax records. If there are health issues with McCain (as his refusal to release these records indicate) we should all be very watchful of his selection for VP.

There has been a lot of talk about McCain needing a conservative religious type person to appeal to the GOP base. Many people support McCain as Pres. because he is seen as a moderate. A lot of people will vote for him regardless of who his VP is. But if he has health problems and he chooses a religious conservative to be his VP then we could have someone like Huckabee as VP in a couple years... which isn't want voters want.

His health may be a private matter but when it has the potential of affecting his presidency then he needs to haul out that famous straight talk express and let us know, exactly, what we're getting into if he were to become president. We vote for someone on the assumption that they will be in office for four years... not spend a few months in office only to leave for health reasons....

Anyway, I wish him the best in his health. But he shouldn't let his personal issues become the country's problems.
