Also, whatever the cause I don't see how looking for the shortest moral yardstick you can find is a good idea when measuring yourself and your conduct. I don't care how many people died under Stalin's rule, it doesn't somehow sanctify death and chaos as a result of MY actions.

How are communists responsible for WWII? I thought fascists were responsible for the 30-60 million deaths. During WWI, tensions between by overly militarized nations caused even more deaths. Under a Conservative government, Red China became our favored trading partner–does that make Republicans responsible for all of the deaths and accidents in the US from their lowered/nonexistent safety standards?

I guess the left makes a convenient bogeyman for right wingers!

The above deaths were due in part or whole to socialist, communistic or pure leftist ideology.

I suppose someone totally ignorant of history could believe that. Others might hear someone claiming that Hitler, WWII and Arabe slave trade were due to socialistic communistic or pure leftist idealogy, say "WTF?" and then laugh out loud.

5. During WWII, 30-60 million.

6. Vietnam between 1954 and 1975, 2-5 million.

7. Abortions since Roe v. Wade, approximately 35 million babies.
