		<description>Considering that his son, Jesse, attended an elite private high school, no one should be surprise that the former mayor did not care about improving the public schools.  When you own friend and family are unaffect by lousy public schools, it is very easy for politicians to give into the teachers unions.  My guess is since many of the same people do not depend upon th e city police for the security, then giving the police unions what they want it easier than fixing them.</description>
