I must say I do get confused sometimes. Let's see….The Tibetans are freedom fighters, but the Palestinians are terrorists. Chechnians are freedom fighters, no, okay, we flip them– to Russians they are terrorists. Iran is a terrorist state but Turkey or Egypt is not. Venezuela is bordering on being a terrorist state but Columbia is not. How does the name assignment work? Is their a rationale to it? Is it because they work against our “interests?” Human rights violations? The USA has many and by the way the assignment of such catagories are arbitrary too based on intelligence no one has seen or will ever be allowed to see for security reasons. A country that can arrest you, kidnap you, disappear you, hold you forever without a trial or hold a mock trial to find you guilty, torture you to sign your own confession— has no right to be a part of the dialog or to point one cancer ridden patriotic finger.

Q: Why are so many Mexicans and Central Americans coming to the USA?

A: Their jobs got relocated to China.

And don't get me started on the harvesting of kidneys from executed prisoners, sometimes it is thought before they are dead. BANG! Toss 'em in the wagon where the guys with the knives are ready...

"400 million customers" -- at least that idea has deflated somewhat these days.

(The number is much larger now, but the concept is old. "400 Million Customers" is discussed in a more contemporary book on the same dream called "The China Dream: The Elusive Quest for the Greatest Untapped Market on Earth.")

thank you for the link DLS. This entire situation of China's 'faces” calls to mind those inflated huge balloon parades: Bloated sovereigns overhead all chummed up and decorated with happy faces… to distract… while murder is unleashed just one street over behind the scenes. I have nun colleagues in China DLS, their suffering is great. Please keep them in your prayers, as we will keep you in ours.

Well, at least they haven't invaded Taiwan yet and set up opening ceremonies with someone from Taiwan marching with the Chinese contingent representing that "renegade formerly splittist province who has rejoined the big family of the Motherland," smiling and nodding her head up and down before the cameras.
