Having seen the full monty, I swear, LBJ seems almost … grandmotherly…with his long haired bob…caught in mid-blink. Vaguely reminiscent of Golda Mier.

An excellent post…and a fascinating parallel between the two meetings: today's…
and that of McGovern the maverick with Johnson the war-damaged Texas party elder.

But why, oh why, is the picture of the “HIPPY HAIRED former President” clipped so we can't see the “Hippy Hair”?!! I know Johnson did a Howard Hughes…but I would love to have seen a full pic.

Hmmm…will Bush become a hippie in Crawford after '09…smoking laced doobies on the back porch and watching the multi-colored tumbleweeds blow through the air?
