I canfess I don't get this take re human rights issues at tall, not as it relates to Republicas vs. Democrats. <br><br>Russia's domestic as well international, situation and outlook are so vastly different from the US, that it's hard to imagine many areas where they would feel inclined to co-operate The best we can hope for is to find some niche issues where that might be possible.<br><br>We should certainly keep a dialogue going in the hopes the ice between the two countries melts somewhat. In the near term, I don't expect a reversal, however, and I think Obama would find it tough going, despite his hopes.
