Doing My Civic Duty & Getting Involved

It turns out that the local Hillary Clinton HQ is about a five-minute drive from my apartment, so I went over there this morning. Since I cannot phone-bank (I’m HOH) I took some yard signs to put up in likely places. Here is my handiwork at the busy intersection of Galbraith Rd. & Vine St:

Being a responsible citizen, I will remove the signs after the election and properly dispose of them.

More people should do this type of thing to support their candidates. Congrats on being one of them!

    Ditto to what George said.

    What is HOH?
  • Hard of hearing, I guess.

    Bravo to you Holly.
I did likewise by putting up yard signs for my preferred candidate, and for the last few weeks I have been wearing a Candidate's T-shirt while working out in our very business YMCA and during errands. The political enthusiasm is inspiring.
Tomorrow night I will be an assistance Precinct Chair.

All the best, Holly. A lot of people around the US are wishing they could be there and vote too.

The battle of the campaign signs is serious psychological warfare. (As are the anti-war signs that you can still see in some places like St. Louis metro, for example.) Do your part! And no fair playing dirty with the other side's signs!

Interesting pattern developing over the last few weeks; whenever Shaun Mullen posts something- esp. something on Hillary, one of TMV's Hill Shillers (Jill, Holly, Damozel) immediately posts a semi-rebuttal.

I think that's a very offensive and inflammatory thing to say. Why would you say a thing like that?

Kathy: I say it because 'henever Shaun Mullen posts something- esp. something on Hillary, one of TMV's Hill Shillers (Jill, Holly, Damozel) immediately posts a semi-rebuttal.'

How is a statement of fact offensive? It seems like Shaun and the female crew are having their own little war of words, and I think it's hilarious.

Those of us who actually have an ability to reason, including even those of us who aren't fans of Clinton, expect the Clinton supporters to reject and respond at least some times to the low-class cheap-shot attacks that are directed against Clinton (and at times against her supporters) almost with as much frequency and depth as the hateful and deranged attacks on Bush. (Similar anti-war-and-success rabid behavior underpinning a good deal of it, I notice....)

And if righties can do it, it's a lesson to the far left:
