It might be just an affilitate station. I'm sure he doesn't proof every ad that runs on every station that runs his shows. Still, seems surprising. And certainly says Obama has the cash to do it. Also, I have several hardcore GOP family members that are rooting for Obama over both McCain and Clinton, so maybe its not such a misplaced ad as it may seem.
Why shouldn't Obama run an ad during Rush's show? Obama doesn't preach the “us versus them” mentality that most politicians do. To Obama the conservative crowd isn't his enemy- they are a group to be won over.

Shoot, Obama is pulling in so much cash he can affort to advertise on Rush's comedy show. Kinda interesting that Rush would run an ad for him though….
