If George Wallace can be forgiven by many of the blacks in his state then Buckley can be forgiven for his silliest remarks.

Former news magnate Conrad Black writes in Canada’s National Post that before Buckley, ‘American conservatism was a detritus of paleo-isolationists and xenophobes.’

Seems the conservatives are revisiting their past. At least Buckley up up a pleasant facade on his version of conservatism. I enjoyed the old “Firing Line”. Now todays talk radio is another story(Cunningham – Ohio).
