Why Barack Obama Is Unfit To Be President

01asuperobama.jpg

His father was a Muslim. He doesn’t have to go first in debates. He sometimes dresses like a foreigner. He’s too young. He experimented with drugs as a teenager. He’s naïve. He has an unfair campaign spending advantage. He’s not a war hero. He bought a house from a slumlord who once had a business deal with a former accomplice of Saddam Hussein. His middle name is Hussein. Louis Farrakhan endorsed him. Lou Dobbs plans to endorse him. Tina Fey doesn’t like him. His superdelegates are committed to him. He doesn’t try to retaliate when attacked. He’s a radical centrist. He once was invited to a coffee klatch at the home of a former Weather Underground member. He’s a cult leader. He hasn’t had to lay off any campaign workers. He doesn’t cry on cue. He doesn’t wear an American flag lapel pin. He’s not black enough. He’s a secret Manchurian Candidate put up by radical Islamists. He’s too charismatic. The news media is biased for him. He doesn’t have to tone down his rhetoric. His campaign is organized from the bottom up. He doesn’t have enough experience. When people offer him lines for his speeches he uses them. He’s a leftist. He once had a teacher who was a Communist. He refuses to play the race card. He wants to withdraw American troops from Iraq. He doesn’t engage in fear mongering. He lives in Chicago. He’ll take away votes from Ralph Nader. His wife says she only recently found a reason to be proud of America. He’s no Mike Huckabee. He scares the Washington defense establishment. He hasn’t been able to attract elderly white woman voters. He’s an idealist. He keeps giving the same damned speech.

How the heck can anyone believe in this guy, let alone vote for him?

    Excellent post.

Let's not forget what's under al of this: He's a nigra, dammit!
  • flyerhawk
I may need to steal this one, Shaun.

Spot on. You did forget, however, a few.

    He went to a madrassa.
He likes to wear Muslimy clothing.
All he does is talk whereas the other candidates act while campaigning.
John McCain once snapped at him in a fit of petulance.

I laughed so hard my stitches started to loosen, and my surgery was ten years ago!

Great post. I hope it gets wide readership.

    cosmoetica,

While I don't think that applies to most Obama opponents there is no question in my mind it applies to quite a few.
  • Those of us who look at Barak Obama Objectively have no problems with his flair and Panache. His ability to communicate and to do it effectively that inspire and motivate the masses is very impressive.

You are right however. The amount of smut on this candidate would have buried any other candidate. Would have destroyed them as a viable option for either party but we all know what this election is really about.

We all know it is an Anti vote in progress. A vote to keep Hillary out of the White House. A vote to reject George W. Bush. A vote to embrace the right kind of moderate politics. Society has been pushed over the edge.

In my travels I have talked to many, many people who state the same thing over and over to me. "I am a former Republican who will never vote for the A**holes again after the last 7 years."

Thats what Barak Obama brings to the table and it is what we are seeing in this campaign. So it does not matter what he has done in the past. It does not matter what he might do in the future. What really matters is that Obama is the anti vote.

He is the next president because there are just too many people on both sides of the Aisle that are fed up with anything that smacks of what has transpired the last 50 years and culminated in the last 7.

Flyer: The I won't vote for a black man crowd is few in terms of the open racists who'll say it, but just like the Guess Who's Coming To Dinner type of limousine liberals- think of this wacky Taylor Marsh chick, and some of the most strident Hillary backers (not to mention legions of R's), it is under a larger portion of thos opponents than you realize.

This is to be expected, but the good news is that as a nation, if he beats Mac (which I think he will if he beats Hill), those types of assholes- loud and whispered, won't matter.

Hey maybe we now understand Superdestroyer's paranoia- all the white racist types he likes are going the way of the dinos.
  • Great post Shaun. I needed a laundry list.

    Cosmetica,

For all of the charisma, Senator Obama is running on standard boiler plate Democratic positions that are meant to reward core Democratic groups (trial lawyers, teacher's unions, government employees, college employees, blacks, hispanic) and meant to punish core Republican groups (middle and upper middle class whites).

What I find the least remarked about Senator Obama is how he uses language in such a way that people hear what they want to hear. He made a bland statement about school vouchers that is so full of escape clauses that it is apparent that vouchers will never occur in his administration. Yet, many jumped on his statement as a sign of support for school vouchers. The same can be seen on the issue of taxes, spending, immigration, crime, and national security.

Just look at how Senator Obama uses the term "End the War in Iraq" when he really means "The U.S. will leave Iraq." Those on the left do not really care but there is a world of difference between what he says and what he means.

The only relevant question in 2008 is whether the Democratic Party gets 60 seats in the Senate or will the Democrats have to wait until 2010.

So, you just had to add the exclamation point to my last point. Thanks.

    Pavlov is beaming.

I'm able to look past all that (and the ones in flyerhawk's post). However what really turns me off is that Taylor Marsh doesn't like him and claims he's a sexist. That's my tipping point. :)

Thanks, Shaun! It's a great way to start the morning!

Okay. First I laughed. Hard. Really, really hard.

Then the Superman suit got to me. The Superman image is really a serious danger for Obama. Obama-mania is now world wide, with few paying close attention to his actual policy positions, while many just buy into the promise impkicit in change.
As expectations rise, so does the potential for disappontment.and the urge to challenge.

For his sake, should he be called upon to give an Inagural address, I hope he takes the opportunity to bring the euphoria down a peg to remind just how serious and difficult both our national and international challenges are. We need to remember that there is no magic wand to make all difficulties disapppear.

My wish is that Ovama supporters would resist putting him in a Superman suit so that he doesn;t have to battle unreasonable expectations.

    Cosmetica,

Senator Obama has come out in support of Affirmative Action. Such Programs reward the children of upper middle class blacks and the children of recent immgrants while harming more qualified children of blue collar and middle class whites. Remember, Jennifer Gratz won her discrimination case against the University of Michigan. Senator Obama's plan on having separate and unequal admissions programs for blacks and Hispanics is blatantly unconstitutional under the Gratz decision. Yet, the liberal elite does not seem to care.

The same goes for open borders and unlimited immigration. It does little to lower the standard of living of the Democratic elite living in Manhattan, DC, SF, or LA. However, it definitely has a negative impact on blue collar whites in many part of the country. Yet, Senator Obama would rather have the future automatic Democratic voters instead of a higher quality of life for blue collar whites and blacks who were born in the U.S.

Free health care does not matter so much if the medical system is overburdened with illegal immigrants and staffed by people who are functionally illiterate.

SD: Some more of the inane rhetoric from your world.

But, wait, w/o Republicans to save us, we'll be in hell.

I think it's time for a bottle of sleeping pills, SD, for obviously the future will not be bright. Send us a postcard from Purgatory.

The real question is what will the U.S. be like as a one party state. If people live in a one party dominated area in the U.S., they can vote with their feet when their vote at the ballot box does not mean anything.

However, what happens when only one political party exists in the U.S. and people cannot vote with their feet. What happens will virtually every policy decision has been nationalized. My guess is that people will find a multitude of ways to get around the system or to screw the system up. As the tax rate keeps going up cheating on taxes will have to also go up. My guess is that middle class whites will follow the lead of Asian community in finding ways to cheat on taxes. My guess is that white kids will start checking off on the Hispanic or African-American box on college applications, job applications, etc to keep from being discriminated against. White flight will mean moving states and geographic areas instead of just moving to the suburbs.

The first real question is what happens when the young, on averages, minorities figure out that they are paying very high social security taxes to fund the retirement of a cohort that is overwhelmingly white?

    I said postcard, not screed.

Whoa whoa whoa, Tina Fey doesn't like him? Someone has finally come up with a valid reason not to like him. This is going to require a bit of soul searching, thanks for the heads up Shaun.
  • "I said postcard, not screed."
