I like it – the only correct response at this point in the race, of course. The question is will it work in the general? I think it may. The larger public may have had its fill of this crap. Those who haven't aren't about to vote for a Democrat in any case.
I have no doubt about Obama's patriotism, while I have much doubt that the GOP can make the distinction between the parties interests and the countries.
It's a good response. Especially since the left wing does have a bit of anti-Americanism and anti-military just as the right has a bit of nativism and xenophobia.
He could have just worn the pin and done the pledge but didn't. Maybe he had this answer all along.
