Ralph Nader, announcing yet another third-party president run, quotes Karl Marx, who said that “History repeats itself, first as tragedy, then as farce.”

"Squanderer in chief"
It pains me that Nader squandered his political capital to make exactly the kinds of changes he hopes for. If he tapped into the Democratic enthusiasm and directed some of it toward Election and Campaign reform we could achieve a more representative government that is more immune from special interests.
In some ways he manifests the same character disorders as President Bush except on the far left.

And they think the Paulbot's and their candidate is crazy.

PaulSilver, very interesting observation: e manifests the same character disorders as President Bush except on the far left.
Nadar coulda been a contendah in a whole different way, by taking up the wisdom chair of the old man. You dont have to try to win a presidency to do that. He had resource enough to simply be newsworthy. Like Pat Buchanan who has interesting things to say, I think, despite a run for presidency that did not succeed.
It is true Paul, that there is an undertow about 'being important' that sinks many.

I still believe the Burger King crown should go to Clinton.

I'd like to repeat , that Nader uses his runs to bring to court cases about ballot access and debate participation.
I would hope those at themoderatevoice.com even if they don't support Nader's run, support fairer ballot access laws, and support a non-partisan debates commission like opendebates.org

Redfish, On your recommendation I will remain open to Nader's ulterior motives. Please keep us updated on his progress.

redfish, I agree with you ballot access is important (along with a lot of other issues). Nader has done a lot of good and can continue to do so, just not this way. I honestly don't know what he expects to accomplish by running.
