The Cedars are people who bought totally into the Bush Lie because they thought he was one of Them as opposed to the Unworthies. There's something about this essay that offends the piss outta me. Is it the implicit ironic hatred? The perpetuating of a dissolving stereotype? Maybe it's the outright derision of those “not like us”? Or the very obvious straw man of creating a fictional story to emphasize… what, exactly? A list of things you don't like? As opposed to, say… intelligent thoughtful discussion of them?
