It's definitely better for Edwards to remain neutral at the moment, until one candidate clearly pulls ahead. Then he can back the winner and take the prize (whatever it is they negotiate). I think if Obama stays ahead in the upcoming races and then takes both OH and TX by at least 55/45 (it's doable for Obama, but not likely) then Edwards may feel comfortable endorsing Obama. If Hillary can't pull Obama down then Edwards won't endorse one or the other until this summer.

But of course this is all speculation and I'm sure that of the one million and one opinions out there, the only one that will be right is the one million and two (the one that only Edwards knows for sure).

First, Senator Hillary Clinton visited former Senator and former Presidential wannabe John Edwards — seeking his endorsement and support.
I don't think Edwards' endorsement will carry much weight, if any. The longer he waits, the longer the other candidate can claim political expediency. It was a sign of weakness for him to wait for so long in the first place. Now it just looks like indecisiveness.
