The super-delegates ("at-large" delegates that are in fact party elites and celebs within the party) remain a problem. I actually disrespect more the notion that the Clinton campaign may try to seat the ordinary delegates from Florida and Michigan, against party rules.

Otherwise, the Dem system and proportional allocation of regular delegates is superior to the setup the GOP has. I could go into detail about changing the delegate counts for each major party and the electoral vote totals or weight for each state in the Electoral College to make the party systems and the Electoral College better than they are today, but that's probably too stratospheric for y'all.

Short of going to direct popular election (not the National Popular Vote group's lunacy), the "district system" allocating votes on a per-district basis within each state is the way to go. The two additional votes held by each seat can be split or be awarded both to the state winner depending on some kind of threshold (which typically would be 60-66 2/3 per cent; 61.8 is the ideal if you know your classics).
