Two points:

1) Shouldn't it be "Obentum" or something, given that his name starts with Ob and not Om?

2) "Omentum" is already taken. It refers to a blanket of fat inside your belly:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greater_omentum

Anyway, I know, I'm just being nit-picky.

[...] The Moderate Voice - Domestic and international news analysis, irreverent comments, original reporti... wrote an interesting post today on Tuesday Potomac Primaries: More Barack Obama â??Omentumâ?? And End Huckabee â??Miracleâ?? Dream? Here’s a quick excerpt When voters to go the polls today in Potomac Primaries to vote in Virginia, Maryland and DC, they will likely answer two key political questions: (1) Will the recent momentum gathered by Democratic Senator Barack Obama (which might as well be called Omentum) in his neck-and-neck battle with Senator Hillary Clinton for the 2008 Democratic party Presidential nomination continue? If it does, some analysts are now saying Clinton’s highly touted March “firewall” for primaries in Texas and Ohio — [...]

Note the story here, as everywhere, is Obama and how well he is anticipated to do against Clinton. McCain is an afterthought and Huckabee isn't even in the cartoon at the start of this thread, which illustrates what level of interest he holds overall.

Virginia will be the interesting contest for the GOP because while the enormous Newport News area with its military demographic likely will choose McCain, the rest of the state is an open question. The more Democratic DC suburbs in Northern Virginia are by their nature expected to favor McCain (an oft-Dem Lite), but conservative activists and other non-liberals who want a conservative alternative to the Dems are not going to be big supporters of McCain. Huckabee's best chance is in Virginia, which despite Newport News and especially Northern Virginia is still a conservative state and a well-known home of the Religious Right.

(My rad-lib friend in DC is happy to visit the Virginia Piedmont, and she likes the ordinary South and its people and culture, but she loathes the Religious Right and avoids going from her home in Maryland -- as she did from her former home in downtown DC -- into Virginia, which to her with its Religious Right and conservative nature is to her the equivalent of an alien and hostile foreign country.
